NEKOD was honored to be selected as one of 20 leading Dutch startups to join the Dutch Startup Delegation at Viva Technology Paris 2025—Europe’s largest tech and innovation event.

As part of the official mission organized by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we had the opportunity to pitch, connect, and showcase NEKOD’s platform to an international audience of investors, corporates, and public sector leaders.

Governance for the next wave of enterprise software

NEKOD exists to address a growing challenge inside large organizations: the rapid rise of business-built software—apps, workflows, and AI tools created outside traditional IT departments.

At VivaTech, we presented how NEKOD is tackling this problem by providing:

• Automated app discovery and shadow IT mapping

• Risk scoring across platforms like Power Platform, Python, and AI tools

• Policy enforcement aligned with frameworks such as DORA and the AI Act

• A centralized governance engine for business-led automation

This shift—often described as Shadow IT 2.0—is accelerating. Organizations need more than reactive audits or restrictive access controls. They need systems of visibility and trust that support fast innovation without compromising compliance.

A cross-border, cross-sector dialogue

Throughout the week, we engaged with financial institutions, cloud providers, and public sector organizations working on the same question: how to enable decentralization in software creation without losing oversight.

Key moments included:

• Pitching at the Benelux Startup Stage

• Attending closed-door sessions with European tech leaders

• Participating in side events hosted by La French Tech and Nebius

• Connecting with international delegations exploring automation risk and AI safety

The level of interest in NEKOD from across industries underscored that this is no longer a niche issue. Business users are already building, and governance is struggling to keep up.

Momentum Going Forward

VivaTech marks an inflection point for NEKOD. The conversations we started in Paris are continuing with stakeholders across finance, public policy, and enterprise technology. Our focus remains clear:
