Team relied on email threads and spreadsheets to manage refund requests, creating scattered communication and no single source of truth. There was no reliable workflow for refund approvals, meaning requests were handled inconsistently.
The result was slow processing, frequent errors, and frustrated customers waiting for their refund. Finance team needed a solution that would bring control, transparency, and accountability to the refund process.
Our Solution
We designed and built a production-grade internal Refund Manager app using Lovable with modular, maintainable architecture. The solution was built to meet requirements for security, data sensitivity, and user experience.
Created structured refund submission forms that capture all necessary information, then built multi-step approval workflows with clear status tracking. Added intelligent system suggestions that calculate recommended refund amounts based on order totals and business rules. Designed a manager dashboard for reviewing and approving refund requests with filtering by status. Managers can approve, reject, or request additional information with required comments for accountability. Implemented comprehensive audit trails that log every action with timestamps and user attribution.
